‘Annie Hall’ Meets ‘Manhattan’ in Los Angeles
[T]he only thing darker than usual about “The Trivial Pursuits of Arthur Banks,” the first AMC Digital Studios production, is the black and white cinematography. The three-episode, 42-minute project, which goes live on Monday at amctv.com and Hulu, is a loving send-up of Woody Allen in his European art-house phase, complete with limited color palette, melancholy jazz score and Adam Goldberg standing in for Mr. Allen as the sex-and-maybe-love-obsessed male artist.
