NBC Gives Series Order to Bryan Fuller's "Hannibal" →

Hannibal — written and executive-produced by the Pushing Diasies creator — is described as a contemporary take on the characters from Thomas Harris’ Red Dragon novel. As such, it will start off at the beginning of FBI agent Will Graham’s budding relationship with mentor Dr. Hannibal Lecter.

I read and loved all four of Harris’s Lecter books. I was unsatisfied with every film adaptation except The Silence of the Lambs, but hopefully this will be able to capture more of the spirit of the source material with its extended format. Also - Fuller is great, so I’m thrilled.
